Text: The PlantCT(TM) System shall provide warning information about the infection probability regarding to the following pathogens:
  • Wart diseases of potato (Synchitrium endobioticum)
  • Late blight (Phytophtora infestans)
  • Alternaria disease on potato (Alternaria porri f. sp. solani)
and pests (Nematodes, Molluscs, Insects, and Acari):
  • Potato rot nematode (Ditylenchus destructor)
  • Potato cyst-nematode (Globodera rostochiensis)
  • Peach-potato aphids (Myzus persicae)
  • Yellow potato aphids (Aphis nasturtii)
  • Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata)

Rationale: These are the main pathogens that affect potato. They can actually significantly reduce the harvest prospects.
